Laboratory Notebooks, circa 1915-1964
Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains the laboratory notebooks created by Benjamin Miessner, as well as three of his employees at Miessner Inventions, Inc.: Charles T. Jacobs, Frederic D. Merrill, Jr., and Victor Mumma. The notebooks document the experiments conducted by Miessner and his employees throughout his career, including but not limited to his work for Brunswick Balke Collender Company, Splitdorf, and his own company, Miessner Inventions, Inc.
Miessner’s notebooks from his work for John Hays Hammond, Jr. are located in the “John Hays Hammond, Jr. Feud” series. Notebooks from Miessner’s time in the United States Navy are located in the Navy Career series.
