The manuscripts sub-series consists of drafts and final copies of manuscripts written or co-written by Colwell. Topics include cholera, marine biology, infectious diseases, and biotechnology. Digital files include draft and final copies of manuscripts.

Access Information

Majority of sub-series 1 is open for research. Two folders containing grant applications have been restricted for 70 years. Four folders have had single documents removed and replaced with redacted versions due to the presence of personal identifying information. The original documents are restricted until Colwell's death.
