The Purdue University African American Studies records contain information and publications related to the African American Studies program at Purdue University, including newsletters, publications, planning and development records, and information about sponsored events dating from the early days of the program in the 1960s through the mid-1980s. Most of the materials in this collection were published under one of the program's previous names, as Africana Studies or Afro-American Studies.
