Scope and Contents

This series consists of newspaper clippings created or collected by Thomas Moran. The majority of the collection consists of clippings from 1914-1922, covering World War One and its immediate aftermath, including the formation and progression of the League of Nations; the movement for Irish independence; growing American and European fears over Communism in the Soviet Union; and diplomatic tensions between the United States, Britain, and Japan.

Also present are clippings by Moran on the needs of the cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette (1917), social and political events in the United States in the 1920s, and the published memoirs of the German Kaiser Wilhelm II.
