From the Collection: The Purdue University Executive Vice President for Business and Finance and Treasurer’s Office records (1921-2000; 10.5 cubic feet) documents the administrations of Executive Vice President and Treasurers, including Frederick Ford (1974-1998), Kenneth P. Burns (1998-2004), and Morgan Olsen (2004-200 ). Other Vice Presidents documented include Howard S. Lyon, John Hicks, Lytle J. Freehafer, and John C. Smalley. The Records further document campus demonstrations of the late 1960’s to early 1980’s, Purdue bleacher collapse, Indianapolis Coliseum accident, which several Purdue departments investigated, numerous project reports from the Purdue Council for Manager Development Projects and Purdue Excellence 21. There is also information about the building of the Purdue Memorial Union, copyright information concerning Purdue songs, numerous documents concerning office activities and proceedings and State of Indiana biennial budget information. Other notable items include a portrait of Purdue President Abram Shortridge and a report belonging to Vice President Freehafer regarding the 1969 Exponent controversy.
