Scope and Contents
These materials are comprised of audio cassette recordings from speaking engagements with topics relating to the African American community. Topics include the relationship between politics, religion, and the African American community; institutional racism; affirmative action; and Black history, among others.
Materials include presentations by guest speakers such as Gil Scott-Heron, Maya Angelou, Muhammad Ali, and Sonia Sanchez. Also included are recordings of conferences, lectures, interviews, tv and radio programs, and Purdue Affirmative Action Awards ceremonies.
