This series contains two documentaries about the African American experience at Purdue. The first, "Why a Black Cultural Center" (1971) investigates the reasons behind the creation of the BCC at Purdue, and provides a tour of the BCC at its original University Street location. The second documentary is "Black Purdue" (2009) and explores the African American experience at Purdue University throughout its history.

Also included in this series is an audio cassette recording of a documentary on the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King.
