Sub-series includes articles and papers written by Helen Bass Williams, predominantly for the #9 (Number Nine) newsletter which is a newsletter for the #9 community in Colp, Illinois. Materials include manuscripts, notes, and published articles that include topics such as Black history in Illinois and narratives of Williams' experiences in the Civil Rights movement.
