Scope and Contents
These materials highlight news related to the Black Cultural Center and its activities, as well as the broader African American community at Purdue and nationwide. Also included are marketing materials for various activities and special events sponsored or hosted by the Black Cultural Center. Sources include newspaper and magazine clippings, flyers, programs, and other marketing materials.
Some materials in this series contain offense imagery or descriptions, including references to lynching, cross burnings, and student suicide, and may cause distress for the viewer. The content was included by the creator and have been retained to accurately preserve and portray the materials and the history of violence experienced by the Black community in Indiana.
