Scope and Contents

The Scrapbook and Photos Series contains a scrapbook made from a 1932 Chemical Engineering Catalog containing photos of people and campus buildings, newspaper clippings, and some ephemera. Included are photos of the Junior Prom Committee, 1933; the Purdue Marching Band, 1933; Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) group photo, 1933; Agriculture Building, 1933; Chemistry Building, 1933; Physics Building, 1933; University Hall, 1933; Beta Theta Pi group photo, 1934; Kappa Theta Epsilon group photo, 1933; POMM group photo, 1934; and a photo collage of portraits of Seniors, 1934. Also included is a Delbert O. Wilmeth Congress (1934 election) card and a document titled “Local Members of Tau Beta Pi, April 8, 1935.” It also contains a folder with six portrait proofs of Wilmeth while he was a student at Purdue. Some of these have comments on the back, possibly from his mother. There is also a small photo of eight students standing on steps with the caption on the back "The Seniors" and three photos of campus buildings including two of the Agricultural Building and one of the doorway of Fowler Hall.
