With Mechanical Engineering being the first School to be established within the College of Engineering, this series contains some of the oldest historical information, including the history behind some of the earliest laboratories established on campus, going back to 1883. Included is a booklet titled, "Mechanical Engineering at Purdue 1882-1982: 100 Years of Progress." This covers much of the history of the School of Mechanical Engineering.
