Scope and Contents

From 1987 - 1989 Craig was Deputy Manager, Mars Rover Sample Return Project (NASA JSC/JPL). He led the Johnson Space Center concept development, technology, and science efforts with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and was responsible for project management and technical negotiations with Europe and the Soviet Union on project participation. This series contains the key study, Johnson Space Center Pre-Phase A Study, Mars Rover Sample Return Mission, Aerocapture, Entry, and Landing Element, May 1, 1989. This series is comprised of documents from his work during this time period.
