The Thomas Taber papers (2001-2010; .4 cubic feet) documents Thomas T. Taber III’s research on the history of railroads. The collection compiles thousands of resources and citations of publications related to railroads in the United States from approximately 1820-2000, focused primarily on the mid-19th through early 20th centuries. This collection would be useful to researchers interested in doing railroad research, particularly in and relating to the Antebellum United States. Types of materials include: bibliographies, handbooks, and indexes (reference sources).
