Scope and Contents

The aerial negatives series documents the various farms, churches, schools and businesses that Brown photographed during his career. Some of the original envelopes which contained the negatives also had slips of papers with notations about the farms and the families that lived on the farms. Brown had also made other notations, including handwritten maps on the outside of the envelopes. The slips of paper that have notations about the farms and those who lived on them also appear before their respective negatives.

The original order of the negatives has been retained.

Processing Information

The negatives were placed in archival negative envelopes for preservation purposes, but the original envelopes have been retained and have been placed in front of the archival envelopes. The slips of paper that have notations about the farms and those who lived on them also appear before their respective negatives.
