Scope and Contents
This series contains materials relevant to the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The materials consist of correspondence, scholastic indexes, brochures, Sorority information sheets, constitutions and by-laws and financial documents. The materials in each folder are specific to each Fraternity or Sorority that is part of the Council. This series contains information on all of Purdue's National Pan-Hellenic fraternities and sororities except Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.

Series is open for research but some material has been restricted. This restricted material was removed from from Series 4, Boxes 19 and 20. All restricted material has been moved to box 26 (restricted).
Historical Information
The National Pan-hellenic Council is comprised of 9 historically African American fraternities and sororities. The Council has conducted many events in collaboration with African American studies, Black Cultural Center, Diversity and Inclusion, Purdue 360, the Black Male Excellence Network (BMEN) and Breaking Bread as well as several student organizations including the Multicultural Greek Council, NAACP, Black Graduate Student Association, and the Black Student Union.
