Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series: As Kvassay had labeled them, this sub-series covers Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and the Middle East. Some stamps of note are; 50th Anniversary of first Trans-Pacific flight, 1928-1978; 50th Anniversary First Official Air Mail Australia-UK, 1931-1981; 50th Anniversary of Qantas; numerous envelopes commemorating pilots; stamps commemorating the admission of Yemen to the United Nations; stamps in memory of John Kennedy; inauguration of the new Universal Postal Union Building Bern 1970; and 200th anniversary of the first manned balloon flight.
