Indiana Aerial Photographs and Maps collection
Collection materials encompass aerial photography of each Indiana county, taken at various altitudes. Aerial photographs include road construction information as well as property surveying. Indiana state highways and interstates are documented and photographed. Other materials in the collection include historic maps of the Wabash River, White River, and Ohio River. U.S.G.S. (USGS) surveys, U.S. Department of Agriculture surveys, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer surveys are also included. Other historic maps, including Chicago, are also included in the collection, as well as miscellaneous photographs of coal mining and other activities.
