Content Description
Collection of papers and artifacts related to the Teacher in Space project. The project was the first to offer private citizens, in this case elementary and secondary school teachers, the opportunity to fly in space and contribute to designing educational lesson plans and science experiments for missions. This accession includes a variety of materials, including Robert Foerster's personal papers such as program application, orientation, and training documents, notes and lesson plans the teacher in space cohort developed, correspondence, vinyl records, posters, binders, cellulose reel and VHS films, newspaper articles, books, space shuttle tiles, and space food samples.
