William Crabill collection of articles, photographs and reports on Purdue's 1983 Get Away Special

Content Description

Includes copies of published articles written about the development of and the experiement results of Purdue University's Space Shuttle payload project, the Purdue Get Away Special (GAS-1). The project payload launched in June 1983 aboard STS-7. Also included are several photographs taken in 2016 of the Get Away Special payload on display in the Materials and Electrical Engineering  (MSEE) building. These photographs show the current physical state of the payload artifact as well other supporting archival materials in the display. Copies of published articles and photographs.
