Biographical Information

James Hugh McKee was born near Hagerstown, Maryland, on September 20,1887. After receiving degrees from Dickinson College in 1909 and Columbia University in 1916, he taught at Georgia School of Technology and the Case School of Applied Science before arriving at Purdue University in 1921. McKee was a professor of English at the university until his retirement in 1958. Professor McKee was known for his work in journalism, and at Purdue he was closely involved in the Purdue Exponent student newspaper and Purdue Agriculturalist publication.
