Biographical Information

Robert L. Sackett was a professor of sanitary and hydraulic engineering at Purdue University from 1907 to 1915, and consultant for the Indiana State Board of Health from 1910 to 1915, and he also served as a member of the Lafayette board of works. He then went to Penn State and served as dean there until 1937 when he retired with the rank of "dean emeritus." After his retirement he served as an assistant to the secretary of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
