Biographical Information

Clifford Cook Furnas was a member of the Purdue Class of 1922 and track star who represented the United States at the 1920 Olympics. He later earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, taught chemical engineering, directed a division of the Curtiss-Wright company during World War II, served in several government positions, and served as Chancellor of the University of Buffalo.
