Biographical Information

Robert Matthews enrolled at Purdue University as a member of the Purdue Class of 1927. He attended the university for two years, from 1923-1925, with a major in engineering. While at Purdue Matthews earned a letter from the Swimming and Diving team in diving. Post-attendance, he remained involved with Purdue University through financial contributions and attendance at Purdue Athletics alumni events. Matthews attended Coyne Trade and Engineer School Chicago prior to attending Purdue. After attending Purdue, Matthews was employed by Peerless Electric in Ohio and was an active member of the Cleveland, Ohio Purdue Alumni Club.
