Biographical Information

George Pickels was a Council on Aviation Accreditation (CAA) student at Purdue University, a program offered through the Department of Aviation Technology. He was from Evansville, Indiana. Pickels died in a plane crash in 1940.

Materials include one black and white photograph of Pickels with three other men at the Purdue University Airport. One of the men is Robert Lanson Dunham, roommate of Pickels. Also included is a clipping from the Purdue Exponent discussing Pickels's death.
