Biography
Audrey Powers is an aerospace engineer and attorney. Powers received a bachelors of science degree from Purdue Univesity's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1999. Powers has worked as a guidance and control engineer serving as a flight controller in NASA Mission Control, worked for Lockheed Martin, and received a Juris Doctor in 2008 from Santa Clara University School of Law. Powers joined Blue Origin in 2013 and contributed to the certification of Blue Orign's New Shepard space vehicle. On October 13, 2021, Powers became Purdue University's third commercial astronaut with her flight on Blue Origin's second human flight, New Shepard (NS18).
