Biographical Information

Austin Bingley Claypool served as a trustee on the Purdue University Board of Trustees from 1874-1875.

Claypool was born in 1823. He lived in Connersville in Fayette, County. In 1846, he married Hannah Ann Petty and they had at least five children: Virginia, Elizabeth, Mary, Marcus, and Frank Jay.

Austin Claypool died in 1906.
