Biographical Information

D. Woods Thomas, a native of Pennsylvania, earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. He joined Purdue University in 1954 as an assistant professor of Agricultural Economics and was named the first dean of International Programs on July 1, 1990. Thomas was active in Purdue's international educational programs and led the project in Vicosa, Brazil, in the 1970s. He retired from Purdue University in 1992.
