Biographical Information

Cecil George Cooley graduated from Purdue University with a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1921. He was the President of his senior class. He was also part of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and the Carzeuran of Purdue. Other organizations he was involved in include TBII, Student Council and Varsity Football.

Scope and Contents The Cecil George Cooley papers documents the involvement and accomplishments of Cecil George Cooley who graduated in 1921. There are 3 items in this collection. The items are a leatherbound Gala Week program booklet and a wooden fraternity letter. Also included is a Big Ten Medal of Honor encased in thick plastic to be used as a paperweight. The medal is inscribed "Mens Fervida In Corpore Lacertoso" on the front and "Cecil George Cooley for Scholastic and Athletic Prowess" on the back.
