Biographical Information
Barbara Arlene Mayoras was born Barbara Arlene Daly on April 23, 1940 in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended Danville High School and earned a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Illinois. On January 30, 1960, Barbara married Richard Mayoras, whom she remained married to until her death.
Mayoras worked at Purdue University in the Department of Botany, the Indiana Poultry Association, and Purdue Convocations where she was an Audience Development Associate. She retired in 2002.
In 2007, she and Richard moved to The Villages, Florida, where she belonged to the American Association of University Women and the Indiana Club.
Barbara Mayoras died on October 15, 2014 at the age of 74.
