Biographical Information
Rochon was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his bachelor's degree in English from Xavier University in 1969, master of Public Health from Yale University in 1976, and Ph.D. in planning support systems; International Development and regional planning in 1999. His research interests include satellite remote sensing for drought-related famine conditions in Sudan. His previous work experiences include director of Dorchester Mental Health Center in Boston, Massachusetts, Associate Vice President for Collaborative Research and Engagement at Purdue, Director of Purdue Terrestrial Observatory, and adjunct professor at University of Cincinnati. He was chief scientist at the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing.
