Biographical Information
Welch was born in Long Beach, California. He majored in aviation flight technology and minored in political science at Purdue University. While at Purdue, he was involved with Iron Key, Mortar Board, Purdue Foundation Student Board, and Purdue Student government. He graduated in 2010 with his bachelor's and continued to his master's of business administration from Penn State in 2014. He was awarded the Charles O. McGaughey Leadership Award at his Purdue commencement. He joined the U.S. Air Force and has earned various medals for his service. He is an Instructor Air Surveillance Officer.
