Biographical Information

Perone was born in Rockford, Illinois on October 1, 1938. He attended the local college, Rockford College and graduated in 1959 with a bachelor's in chemistry and history. He received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1962. He was a professor at Purdue University from 1962-1981. He worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from 1981-1989 as an analytical chemistry division leader. He was also a chemistry professor at San Jose State University from 1989-1999. Since 1999 he has worked as an independent consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an author and has written novels including children's novels.
