Biographical Information

His hometown is in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Chiscon was a professor of biological science at Purdue University. He has done research in molecular evolution and genetics. He received the Purdue student government Best Instructor Award. He earned his bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg State College in 1954 and his master's degree and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue. He joined Purdue faculty in 1961 and in 1972 he became a full professor. He retired in 1998 with the title of professor emeritus of biological sciences.
