Biographical Information
Charles H. Armstrong was born in 1925 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He studied pre-vet at Valparaiso University and received his doctorate in veterinary medicine at Ohio State University. He earned his Ph.D. in microbiology at the School of Veterinary Science at Purdue University. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and during World War II he served as a Corsair crew chief. He was a professor Emeritus of Veterinary Microbiology. He passed away on August 27, 2010.
