Biographical Information
Charles F. Babbs was born in Toledo, Ohio. In 1964, he attended Ottawa Hills High School in Toledo, Ohio. In 1968, Babbs received his bachelor’s in Experimental Psychology from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1974, he received his medical doctorate in Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. He continued at Baylor College of Medicine to receive his master’s in anatomy in 1975. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1977.
He later became an associate research scholar in basic medical sciences and a continuing lecturer in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. Some of his major research interests include applied cardiovascular physiology and biomedical engineering, which vary from electrical ventricular defibrillation to hyperthermia therapy for cancer.
