Witham, Raymond Lee

Born in Lisbon, Maine in the late-19th century, Witham was educated at Bates College and Worchester Polytechnic Institute. He was on Purdue's electrical engineering faculty from 1908 to 1911 before joining the Sperry Gyroscope Co. of New York from 1918 to 1947, becoming head of its electrical engineering department. He died at the age of 91 in Boonton, New Jersey.
