McBee, Earl T.

Earl T. McBee was born in 1906. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Purdue University and became a faculty member in 1936. He became head of the fluorine chemistry lab and became chair of the department in 1949. He remained chair of the department until 1967. During World War II, McBee conducted atomic research with the Office of Scientific Research and Development.
