Biographical Information

Blakemore was born in 1932 in the Flint area of Michigan. He is a professor emeritus in the department of veterinary clinical sciences at Purdue University. He received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Michigan State University in 1959. He was drafted in the summer of 1952 into the Army. In '53 he was shipped overseas during the time when the war in Korea ended. He was discharged in '54 and went on to work in the automobile factory in Flint. He was the editor and listed as one of the authors for "The Veterinary Dermatology International Slide Bank collection" published in 1997.
