Arnold Sweet was a professor from the Purdue University School of Industrial Engineering. His research interests included time series forecasting, statistical process control, and reliability. In his free time, he was an avid collector of Purdue University ephemera. He also was an amateur historian who participated in the Tippecanoe County Historical Association and wrote about Purdue University and Tippecanoe County.
