Biographical Information

Angela "Angie" Rose Klink graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (1981) and has been a freelance writer and entrepreneur for most of her career, working as an author, scriptwriter, and copywriter.

Klink (nee Lipp) was born on February 26, 1959 in Frankfort, Indiana. She attended Purdue University from 1977-1981, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the Brian Lamb School of Communications.

Klink started her writing career as a copywriter at WASK Radio after graduating from Purdue University. Since then, Klink has predominantly worked as a freelance writer. She has written numerous books and articles, many of which focus on Purdue University history and women's history, such as "Divided Paths, Common Grounds: The Story of Mary Matthews and Lella Gaddis" and "The Deans' Bible: Five Purdue Women and their Quest for Equality." She has also written historical articles for magazines and blog posts such as "Traces of Indiana and Midwesern History" published by the Indiana Historical Society, "Purdue Alumnus" magazine, American Writers Museum, and Ms Magazine.

Klink has written for documentaries such as "Rise Above the Mark" and "Eternal Flame," teaches writing workshops, has authored and self published a children's book, "Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer", and writes copy for numerous types of businesses, including healthcare, banks, universities, cities, restaurants, and nonprofit groups. In addition, Klink is active in her community, serving on numerous boards and committees in support of education, writers, and community history.

Klink has earned numerous awards for her work, including sixty-one American Advertising Federation ADDY awards and in 2023 was recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the YWCA.
