Biographical Information
Frederick Newcomb Andrews received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Massachusetts; he earned his doctorate degree from the University of Missouri in 1939. He was a hired as an assistant professor of animal husbandry at Purdue University in May, 1940 and rose to the rank of full professor in 1949. During his long tenure at Purdue, Andrews served as the head of the Purdue University Dairy department, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School, and General Manager of the Purdue Research Foundation.
Frederick Andrews was well-known for his research and published more than 150 articles during this career. He retired from Purdue in 1980.
