Biographical Information

Harry L. Solberg graduated from South Dakota State College in 1920. He earned a B.S.M.E in 1921 and an M.S.M.E in 1923 from Purdue University. He was then appointed instructor of Mechanical Engineering then professor in 1939. He served as the Head of the School of Mechanical Engineering beginning in 1941. Later, he served as the Associate Dean of the Schools of Engineering.

Scope and Contents File consists of three audio reel recordings from an engineering banquet honoring A. A. Potter's retirement on three unknown Scotch reels and one Scotch 190 reel. Audio reels 1 and 4 have overwritten audio recordings, which has effectively removed some parts of retirement ceremony recording. The original recording of the retirement ceremony included four audio reel recordings. Audio reel 2 was completely overwritten by a different program, so it is not included as part of this file.
