Biographical Information
Norman "Norm" J. Volk attended University of Wisconsin Madison and received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in agronomy. He worked on the reserach staff of the United Fruit Company. Volk also worked as a soil chemist and head of the Department of Agronomy at Auburn University in Alabama. He served at the head of the Department of Agronomy, Associate Director of the Purdue Agricultural Experiment Station, Associate Dean of Agriculture, and Dean of Agriculture at Purdue University.
