Caldwell, R. E. (Ralph Elmer)

Biographical Information

R. E. (Ralph Elmer) Caldwell earned his Bachelor of Science from Kansas State Agricultural College in 1908. He did considerable experimental feeding work in Ohio at the Wooster Station. Caldwell began teaching at Purdue University as an Instructor in Milk Production. He was soon promoted to professor and served as Head the Department of Dairy Husbandry at Purdue University. He also worked in the Purdue Agricultural Experiment Station. In 1918, Caldwell was hired by the Blatchford Calf Meal Company and placed in charge of its research and educational bureau.
