Biographical Information

Howard Enders was a native of Enders, Pennsylvania He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lebanon Valley College in 1897, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1898, Master of Science degree from Lebanon Valley College in 1900, and Ph.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1906. After serving as a high school teacher and then teacher of biology at Lebanon Valley College.

Enders joined the Purdue University staff as instructor in zoology and biology in 1906. He was the Dean of the School of Science from 1926-1947. He remained at Purdue until his retirement.
