Tillson, Merl William

Biographical Information
Merl William Tillson was born in Richmond, Indiana. He received degrees from Earlham College and the University of Denver. He served as a pilot in the Navy Air Command during World War II. Tillson's wife was Juanita and they had one son together, Steve. Prof. Tillson began work at Purdue University in the English Department in 1950 and left Purdue in 1964. He was a professor of English at Metropolitan State College in Denver for 13 years, retiring in 1985. Professor Tillson passed away at the age of seventy on October 30.
