Jamison, Alpha Pierce

Biographical Information

Alpha Pierce Jamison received his B.E.E. from Purdue University in 1895 and his M.E. in 1897. He was an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Drawing and remained on the staff for eighteen years before going into private practice. As a student, he had been captain and quarterback of the football team, and for many years he was placed on the all-time, all-star team as the best quarterback in Purdue history. He prepared textbooks on mechanical drawing and was placed in charge of the freshman course. When Michael Golden Labs were built, he supervised the drawing of the plans and the actual work of construction.
