The Veterinary Animal Isolation Building - 1 was constructed to house animals undergoing treatment. When it was built, it was a one-story frame building about 300 feet long with pens accommodating about 400 hogs. It was formerly known as the serum plant and serum hog house. The total cost of constructing this building, the Rendering Plant, and Hyper barn was $27,346.
