Historical Information
Construction of a new pharmacy building was completed in 1930. Upon completion the structure was 52 x 136 foot in dimensions and three stories in height. The building was composed of dark tapestry brick, reinforced concrete, and trimmed with Indiana limestone in the windows and entrances. A red tile roof which was complemented by several small dormers and two ventilating cupolas. The Pharmacy building contained a complete drug store, three offices, three lecture rooms, a library, and 23 laboratories, including a radiological laboratory. The building name changed to the Geosciences Building in 1970. In 1987 construction began to incorporate the building into the new Helen B. Schleman Hall of Student Services.
