Oliver Perkins Terry House (West Lafayette, Ind. : 1957-)
Historical Information
Originally known as the Dining Lounge Center Building in the Gable Courts area, the Oliver Perkins Terry house was built in 1957. The building that was previously known as the "Oliver Perkins Terry House" was located on Waldron and 6th street. The old Oliver Perkins Terry House was bought by the Purdue Research Foundation in 1959 and exchanged with the Acacia Fraternity for property on State Street, West Lafayette. Once the old Oliver Perkins Terry House was exchanged, the Dinning Court was renamed the Oliver Perkins Terry House. It was originally used for graduate students and Remington-Rand but was re-purposed and undergraduate students in 1961. (Neal: the previous sentence does not make sense) Additions were added in 1965 and 1977.
In 1994, the Purdue University Police Department moved into the building from its previous location in the Engineering Administration building.
